Write for us
We welcome thoughtful pitches about clothing, textiles, garment construction, dress customs, care, and fashion history. A strong proposal gives readers a clear reason to care and leaves room for nuance rather than treating style as a list of rules.
What to pitch
Propose an original article that explains a useful distinction, explores a garment or material, untangles a dress custom, or makes a part of fashion history newly legible. Practical pieces should offer safe, ordinary guidance and avoid claims that depend on specialist inspection or professional advice.
What makes a strong proposal
Tell us the central question, the main points you would cover, and what a reader should understand by the end. Include a working title and a brief note about your relevant experience or perspective. We value specific examples, careful language, and a clear plan more than grand claims or trend predictions.
Send a proposal
Please send pitches through the Contact page and choose the editorial option. Do not send a complete commissioned-length article unless we have agreed to review one; a concise proposal is enough to begin a conversation.
